These self-portraits date from 1906 to 1949; that is, in the first one he depicts himself at 20 years old and in the last of these particular paintings he is 63. Question: Aside from the huge body of the rest of his murals and canvases, what autobiographical narrative did Diego Rivera tell about himself (or, at least, his own view of his own image) in these paintings? |
